Imagine Zero is the result of a privilege check: We understood how much possibility there actually is. And we decided for an audacious aim: Figure out what exactly our value-add would need to be to stop the climate crisis. Therefore, Imagine Zero is always about thinking big and acting in small, reasonable steps.

The climate crisis is a systemic issue. Neither a guilty conscience nor providing green alternatives for the affluent few will stop it. The only way to maintain the livelihood of our civilization is to change the rules for everyone. And the only way to make that happen is to empower those who already struggle and ask those who can afford it, to pay their fair share to protect our future.

We believe that a major reason for an unsustainable status quo is that people feel powerless while in fact many of them (especially in rich countries) have considerable influence. It's our mission to chunk systems change into bite-sized pieces. We want everyone to make a difference, wherever they want.

Ensuring humanity's survival is the challenge of our century. We proudly play our part, but it's just one of many pieces of the puzzle. And of course, we believe in enabling our partners with our technology, expertise, and network.

NGOs work a certain way and successfully solve certain classes of problems. Imagine Zero doesn't want to compete with the NGO model. Instead, we want to apply the mind and tool sets of VC-backed startups going through hypergrowth to the fight for our future.

The task is massive, the consequences are serious. It's easy to burn out and it helps to be doing this, because we can, and because it's fun. Let's simply figure out how much we can pull off, together!
